The requirements

Canadian Royalties is a mining company with a nickel and copper mining site in Nunavik in northern Quebec. Construction of the site began in 2007, and the concentrator's capacity is estimated at 4,500 tons per day.

The mandate consisted of evaluating the replacement of the three existing cartridge dust collectors in the screening area with bag dust collectors, adjusting their air handling capacities. The client also wanted to obtain a budget estimate within ±30% of the capitalization and implementation costs of the modifications to be made.

The deliverables provided by LDV include:

Technical analysis of existing equipment and review of available documents;

Definition of required performance and location of new equipment;

Schematization of conduit routing and development of alternative solutions replacement;

Production of a preliminary study report including technical recommendations;

Budget estimate to enable informed planning of the next steps.
