The requirements
Votorantim Cimentos is a global leader in the production of cement, concrete, and building materials. In the Gaspé Peninsula, the company operates the Port-Daniel–Gascons plant, one of the most modern in North America, specializing in the manufacture of low-carbon footprint cement primarily for the Quebec, Canadian, and North American markets.
The mandate consisted of conducting feasibility engineering for the crusher project and producing a Class 4 AACE budget estimate. The client wanted to validate the existing concept and evaluate alternative layouts to optimize construction costs.
Mandate
The deliverables provided by LDV include:
Analysis of technical documentation and annotation of existing general layout;
Development of preliminary process diagrams and electrical single-line diagrams;
Preparation of technical data sheets for tenders (crusher, conveyors, feeders);
Production of a preliminary list of materials for civil, structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines;
Class 4 budget estimate accompanied by a comprehensive feasibility report.
